Join the CAA for an endangered orchid workshop at the Center for Subtropical Affairs on Saturday, February 8th.
The Center for Subtropical Affairs is an ecological learning center in Little River that provides jobs and career training in sustainable development to the community. CSTA pairs environmental education with cultural arts programming to make science accessible and engaging for all. They also focus attention to the functions and behaviors of biological systems to inform how human beings and other organisms interact with the environment. CSTA has partnership with major foundations and initiatives in South Florida including Fairchild Tropical Gardens, Nature Links, and The Million Orchid Project.
The workshop will begin at 2:30pm and last until approximately 5pm. Our information session and workshop will be lead by CSTA.
Participants will each take home their own orchid; just in time for Valentines Day.
Workshop price of $58 includes an orchid. Refreshments will be served.
